DeAnn Umland joins TekniPlex as vice president, market and strategy development for beauty and home packaging

Wayne, Pa. (March 23, 2021) — DeAnn Umland has joined TekniPlex as vice president, market and strategy development for beauty and home packaging.

Umland will be responsible for leading and accelerating development of TekniPlex’s strategies to support the fast-changing needs of the beauty and home markets.

She possesses a broad array of capabilities—from strategic planning and business development to marketing and commercial excellence—that will help TekniPlex develop value-added solutions for these market segments,” said Brenda Chamulak, president, TekniPlex Packaging Products.

Umland comes to Tekni from AptarGroup, Inc., where she excelled in managing cross-functional teams across a highly matrixed organization. She was responsible for helping multiple top-ten beauty and home CPG companies find ideal packaging solutions to support their growth strategies. Umland is highly regarded in the industry for her skill in working across different cultures, regions and teams to drive alignment and accomplish strategic growth.

She has a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from University of Wisconsin, also in Milwaukee. Umland resides in Crystal Lake, Illinois with her family. She spends her free time in Door County, Wisconsin, where she serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity.
