Wayne, PA – TekniPlex Healthcare, which utilizes advanced materials science expertise to help deliver better patient outcomes, will give two keynote presentations demonstrating facets of its extensive medical device component manufacturing capabilities at Medtec China, September 24-26 in Shanghai. In addition to showcasing a wide array of medical compounds, tubing and other solutions at its Booth 2A001, the company will provide attendees with detailed insight into a pair of its prominent competencies: precision catheter solutions and medical silicone manufacturing, respectively.

Notably, the event comes as TekniPlex Healthcare celebrates the 20^th anniversary of its spacious medical materials production facility in Suzhou, China. On September 24 from 2-2:30pm, in Central Hall Meeting Room C, Enrique Zhang, Commercial Director for TekniPlex China, will present Nano Revolution in Minimally Invasive Interventions: Innovative Practices in Ultra-Precision Catheter Solutions.

Mr. Zhang has more than 17 years of experience in technical R&D, product development and project management, including specialty engineering of minimally invasive interventional product solutions. His discussion will detail best practices for yielding high-performance, ultra-precision catheter solutions for a wide range of minimally invasive devices, including single-lumen, multi-lumen, co-extrusion (such as PTCA tri-layer shafts and multi-layer balloon tubing), and micro-diameter products.

With more than 15 years of medical device sector experience, Mr. Zeng has accrued extensive expertise in formulation development, process optimization, and application research for both plastic and silicone tubing. His presentation will draw upon TekniPlex Healthcare’s comprehensive medical silicone manufacturing capabilities, which span demanding niches such as solid silicone compression molding, precision extrusion (single-lumen, multi-lumen, profile, and co-extrusion), secondary processing (drilling, printing, overmolding) and assembly.

Mr. Zeng also will discuss key metrics for evaluating silicone tubing quality. For example, during a recent peristaltic pump silicone tubing test, TekniPlex Healthcare products demonstrated stable flow control and precise tolerance, with no particle shedding, ensuring safety in medical environments. These attributes resulted from the company’s core capabilities in wall thickness consistency and high concentricity, which significantly reduce performance degradation during long-term use.
