TekniPlex Europe’s subsidiary in Italy

July 30, 2013 - TekniPlex Europe’s subsidiary in Italy has commenced operations at a newly centralized plant in Gaggiano, which is located in the suburbs of Milan. The major investment was made necessary due to growing demands in several emerging markets.

Dubbed an “ORO” project (One-Roof Operation), the Gaggiano facility actually adjoins two existing facilities, combining the pair into one efficient plant that offers more space for both the immediate and foreseeable future.

The facility is primarily used for manufacturing rubber for TekniPlex’s dispensing business – a process that requires unique capabilities and advanced knowledge in rubber chemistry. Recent breakthroughs at the Gaggiano plant include the development of clean rubber compounds for use in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food applications. Together with the production facilities in Erembodegem, Belgium and in Schaumburg, Ill, TekniPlex has achieved a leading global position manufacturing the rubber inner gaskets for aerosol dispenser valves.
