Compatibility with various solvents yields simplified bonding and assembly, and both phthalate-free and non-phthalate options meet varying MedTech needs while ensuring product safety and environmental friendliness.
PTA/PTCA Balloon Catheter Tubing and Precision Tri-Layer Tubing
TekniPlex Healthcare also offers a wide range of PTA/PTCA tubing solutions, backed locally in Asia by precision micro-extrusion capabilities, expert technical support and rapid prototype development. For balloon catheter applications, TekniPlex Healthcare’s prowess includes single-layer, dual-layer and tri-layer constructions. Accommodating balloon sizes from 1-30mm, the tubing solutions offer uniform wall thickness, precise tolerances (±0.0005”), and over 90% concentricity. These features provide controlled elongation, resulting in evenly thickened balloons that reduce the risk of rupture and significantly improve yield rates.
TekniPlex Healthcare’s precision tri-layer tubing consists of polyamide (Nylon) or polyether block amide copolymer (PEBA) outer layers and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) inner layers. The small-diameter, thin-wall constructions are commonly used in interventional vascular devices to help diagnostic and therapeutic devices more easily advance over guidewires.
