Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE) single use plastic containers produced by Tekni-Plex, Inc. (and/or its direct and indirect subsidiaries) are labeled with chasing arrows because both polypropylene and polyester terephthalate-based products are regularly collected and recycled in California above the threshold limits as required by SB343.
There are no adverse environmental impacts directly associated with the production, distribution, use, and disposal of these packaging materials. Our packaging solutions are developed by applying best practices and eco-design guidelines in order to use the minimum amount of necessary materials and be recycle ready. These materials don’t violate any federal, state, or local permits directly associated with the production of the packages.
Marketing claims made by Tekni-Plex, Inc. and/or its direct and indirect subsidiaries about our polypropylene (PP) or polyester terephthalate (PETE), single-use plastic containers conform to the Federal Trade Commission Guidelines for Environmental Marketing Claims as well as the requirements of California subdivision (d) of Section 42355.51 of the Public California Resources Code.
The use of chasing arrows directs consumers to recycle these plastic containers in accordance with the local recycling guidelines provided by the municipalities.
