TekniPlex acquires adhesive tape substrate business from Alfatherm, Italy

Wayne, Pa. (August 2, 2017) — TekniPlex, Inc. has acquired the self-adhesive tape substrate business of Alfatherm SpA, Venegono Superiore (VA), Italy. The acquisition will be integrated into the company’s Tekni-Films Gallazzi operation located nearby in Gallarate, Italy.

“The acquisition will help support Tekni-Films’s growing tape substrate business. We will be able to better serve converters across Europe who produce self-adhesive tapes for a wide variety of packaging applications,” said Joseph Horn, senior vice president and general manager, Tekni-Films.
