TekniPlex Medical announces new head of sales, business development, medical products for EMEA

Wayne, Pa. (February 4, 2020) — TekniPlex Medical, a TekniPlex business, announces that Jan Motte has joined the organization as head of sales and business development, medical products, for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

TekniPlex recently announced the formation of its TekniPlex Medical business unit to facilitate the supply of mission-critical, high-value components, materials and solutions to medical device manufacturers worldwide.

Motte will be responsible for leading a dedicated sales and customer service team to deliver the latest medical polymer compound, extruded tubing and component solutions to medical device manufacturers in the EMEA region.

“Jan comes to TekniPlex Medical with an extensive understanding of the medical device industry, having held senior positions in sales and marketing, country management and global project management with leading medical device companies. We are confident that Jan will be instrumental in adding value to our customers, as well as help grow our business in the EMEA region,” said Dan Lazas, head of global sales for TekniPlex Medical.

Prior to joining TekniPlex, Motte was a senior leader of global strategic initiatives, responsible for design, planning and execution, as well as country manager for Benelux and Switzerland, for Integra LifeSciences, a medical device company specializing in orthopedic and neurosurgical devices and implants, as well as surgical instruments. Before that, he was sales manager of cardiology products at Terumo Europe and a marketing manager for Boston Scientific for EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Motte holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Ghent, Belgium and an executive international MBA from Vlerick Business School Ghent, Belgium.
