TekniPlex is committed to building a healthier, more sustainable world through active community engagement and social initiatives. In 2020, we established TekniGives, a global program that partners with charitable organizations to advance social equity, environmental stewardship, food security, and public health in the communities where we operate. Our focus is on creating long-term, meaningful change through collaborative efforts with our partners.
Our commitment extends to supporting our own employees through the TekniGives Employee Relief Fund, which provides financial assistance to those facing unexpected hardships. Since its launch, this fund has provided vital support to employees, underscoring our dedication to their well-being.
The TekniGives Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity, embodies our commitment to social responsibility. By collaborating with customers, partners, and employees, we aim to create lasting, positive impacts.
At TekniPlex, employee safety and well-being are non-negotiable. Through training, safety programs, and a proactive culture, we strive to ensure that every team member and visitor return home safe. Our global safety initiatives, including committees, safety sentiment surveys, and recognition programs, promote compliance with regulations, swift resolution of concerns, and strong employee engagement.

At our Global Innovation Center in Holland, Ohio, cross-functional teams leverage state-of-the-art labs and rapid prototyping to accelerate sustainable solutions from concept to commercialization. By combining deep expertise in chemistry, polymer science and process engineering, we deliver recycle-ready films, polypropylene foam trays and other next-generation alternatives that meet performance needs while reducing environmental impact.
At TekniPlex, our 9,000 global team members, including over 200 materials science experts, aim to foster a workplace culture built on fairness and opportunity. As a leading materials science solutions partner to the world’s largest healt hcare and consumer brands, we are dedicated to enhancing our positive environmental impact throughout our value chain. This section highlights our efforts to address climate change, conserve resources, and minimize the environmental footprint of our products.
We’ve invested in energy-efficient solutions, such as LED retrofits, process optimizations at manufacturing facilities, and on-site solar energy projects as part of our broader strategy to enhance energy management.
Our sourcing is guided by the TekniPlex Supplier Code of Conduct and Procurement Policy, which require health, safety and environmental compliance and thorough due diligence. Several facilities hold ISCC PLUS certification, enabling tracked use of advanced recycled and bio-based materials. We also incorporate post-industrial and post-consumer recycled content—reducing risk, improving transparency and supporting a more circular supply chain.
TekniPlex proudly sponsors the Women’s Resource Center’s annual Breakthrough Breakfast, supporting the organization’s work to provide counseling, financial coaching, career services, and legal assistance to women and girls in southeastern Pennsylvania.
In 2024, TekniPlex China celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival by partnering with Wujiang District volunteers to deliver essential supplies and holiday gifts to elderly residents in the community.
The theme “Safe Hands, Safe Future” aimed to educate our employees on the importance of hand care and addressed a critical injury type.
Colleagues in India support the Akshaya Patra Foundation’s initiative to provide nutritious meals and school supplies to students. In August 2024, TekniPlex employees distributed meals to 650 children and conducted safety awareness sessions.
Our team in Cuautitlán, Mexico collaborates with Banco de Tapitas to collect plastic caps for recycling, supporting cancer treatment and research while also reducing plastic waste. Caps are processed into reusable materials, with proceeds funding critical care. Since launching the initiative in 2023, the team has achieved 5570 kg of donated discarded material and collected 448 kg of plastic caps.
The TekniPlex team in Belgium encourages employee well-being and environmental sustainability through monthly Bike to Work challenges, where employees set and achieve collective cycling goals. In 2024, the team participated in Relay for Life by moving for 24 hours, achieving 100 km in a cycling event benefiting cancer research. TekniPlex was proud to sponsor the event, with employees serving as enthusiastic volunteers and participants.
The 2024 Safety Day put the spotlight on fire safety, including simulated fire extinguisher training, followed by a team-building event and scavenger hunt.

Internal Work Accident Prevention Week (SIPAT) 2024 raised awareness about workplace safety and health, with a continued focus on achieving zero accidents.
The Suzhou team hosted contests, safety shares, emergency drills and training, and risk identification activities to engage employees for Safety Week.
ePress Seal is more flexible and resilient than previous polystyrene (PS) foam versions. It is compatible with PE-based containers and recycle ready in regions where the polyethylene recycling stream is available.
Developed for fragrance packaging applications, CRYSTELLE features a PFAS-free, food-grade material that comprises a safer, more sustainable option for brands aiming to espouse consumer health and environmental stewardship aligned with recent regulations.
Depending on customer needs, can be made of up to 100% post-consumer recycled content on a mass balance basis using ISCC PLUS-certified PCR PP or PE resins, offering a reduced environmental footprint compared to products made from virgin materials.
Used for a wide range of bottles and jars, these liners are comprised mostly of paper made from tree pulp and are re-pulpable and recycle ready with the paper waste stream, where the infrastructure exists, while providing the same induction sealing and protective properties as conventional liners.
A new family of processor trays designed to meet the demand for alternatives to foamed PS, which is being restricted in many states and countries. These trays require less material compared to rigid thermoformed PP or PET trays.
